Helping Children with Sleeping Problems

Sleep is important to all of us.  Not only because it restores us physically but because sleep helps rewire the brain; things that made us anxious the day before becomes less of a problem after a good night’s sleep. Sleep’s dreaming mechanism in short helps to discharge the emotional arousal from the day before.

Many children suffer from sleeping difficulties. Only last week Alec saw a child who’s anxiety about not getting a good night’s sleep meant that she was unable to go on school trips and sleep overs with friends but after just two sessions is now looking forward to all of those things because she is getting all the sleep she needs.

The first session dealt with sleep at home, which improved straight away, and the second focussed at looking to a forthcoming sleep over at a friend’s house, by the end of which she was then actively looking forward to the visit.

Parent’s who think that they’ve tried everything to help their child with sleep problems come to us as a last resort which is a pity because we teach children how to get a good night’s sleep using techniques that are very effective.

Call us now if you would like to know more about how we can help your child overcome their sleeping problems.  You will be amazed at how quickly we can make a difference.
